Mission Trips to Laos
Laos is one of the few countries still deep in the clutches of a communist government — a government that persecutes believers, limits and controls access to the Gospel, and seeks to keep the Gospel of our Lord Jesus from spreading. Southeast Asia Opportunities (SeaOps) wants to make an eternal difference in the lives of unengaged and unreached people groups in southern Laos, and we need your help to do so.
The spiritual and physical needs in Laos are huge. Out of the 150 people groups, 138 are considered unreached by the Gospel, and many of those remain totally unengaged. That means over 6,000,000 of the total population of 7,025,000 have yet to hear of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. SeaOps is focusing on eight of those unreached, unengaged people groups, and the conditions there have led us to develop and refine our project work involving local Lao believers to impact those peoples.
The work in Laos is risky, living conditions are harsh and sometimes primitive, and traveling is difficult. But it will be worth it to see unengaged peoples become engaged and reached with the Gospel! And oh, the joy that you and/or your team will be able to share together as those who have never heard move toward being reached with the Good News of Jesus Christ. If this is your first time serving overseas, a mission trip to Thailand may be a better introductory step.

How You Can Serve in Laos
Because of government restrictions, much of the work in Laos centers on prayer, sharing, and partnering with local believers. Ways to serve include:
- Prayer and prayer walking among the unreached
- Sharing the gospel and distributing Bibles and materials
- Service projects that meet real needs and open doors
- Training local believers for ministry and church planting
